Human papillomaviruses E6, E7 proteins

Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) have been found in over 90% of cervical cancers, as well as in other carcinomas. HPV-16 in particular is found in roughly half of cervical cancers.

Viral early proteins E6 and E7 induce immortalization and transformation in a variety of rodent and human cell types. E7 proteins are shared with other viral oncoproteins, specifically adenovirus E1A and SV40 large T antigen.

Provided are recombinant human papillomaviruses type 16 and type 18 E7 proteins, expressed in E. Coli, purified under native condition.  E7s are suitable for eliciting cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response to enhance the gene delivery in vitro. E7 proteins can also be used as antigen to detect the HPV antibody, that raised by HPV infection,  in vitro. If the activity is high,  clinical examination of cervical cancers is recommended.

Production of a soluble E6 oncoprotein is notoriously difficult. Now we have been able to do so. Provided are recombinant  human papillomaviruses type 16 wt E6 with his-tag, and type 58 wt E6 with MBP-tag, expressed in E. Coli., purified under native condition. We also offer denatured form of HPV 16 E6 protein with his-tag in 8M Urea for western blotting.

HPV E6 (Type 16) His-Tag                  95% pure,    50ug,    Cat. No. 2006008  $380.00
HPV E6 (type 16) His-Tag, Denatured       95% Pure,   500ug,    Cat. No. 2006010  $380.00
HPV E6 (Type 58) MBP-Tag                  95% pure,   100ug,    Cat. No. 2004801  $380.00

HPV E7 (Type 16) His-tag                  95% pure,   100ug,    Cat. No. 2003207  $380.00
HPV E7 (Type 18) His-Tag                  95% pure,   100ug,    Cat. No. 2003209  $380.00

Samples (E6, E7s) are in the form of powder, thus, shipping charge is low, and long-term storage is stable. Proteins are for research only, not to be used in human being.

Samples on gel filtration, HPV 16 E6 (his-tag, ~19KD) is eluted later than BSA, thus, our E6 is not soluble aggregates.

Dear Steven:

I use HPV (16) E7 protein for indirect ELISA . 1ug/ml of protein to coat
plate  @ 4C  overnight  is the best condition for detect anti-HPV(16)
E7antibody. 5 ug/ml is too much.

The antibody I  ordered  from Santa Cruz( #sc-1587). By the ELISA I can be
detect at low 30 ng/ml (conc. of antibody). If modify the ELISA condition
the detect level should be improved.

Hi Steven,

The HPV16, E7 protein I ordered previously worked well in my Western blots (Zymed Abs). Therefore, I placed an order today for 100ug of both the HPV18,E7 and I want to try the HPV (58) 16 as well, ...
